B&R Donates Almost 400 Pounds of Food to the Maryland Food Bank

In celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, B&R held a six-week internal food drive with employees purchasing non-perishable food items off the Maryland Food Bank’s Most Needed Items list. B&R delivered the food on Friday, November 21, which tipped the scales at 397 pounds. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, that is enough food to feed about 80 people.

“This was a great opportunity to make a difference in our community before the holidays and it was an honor to work with the Maryland Food Bank to help our less-fortunate neighbors,” stated David Vocci, the company’s president.

B&R’s donation of 397 pounds of food also took home first place in the ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC Food Drive Challenge, which challenged other companies to accumulate the largest total donation to the Maryland Food Bank.
